The thesis establishes the criteria of sports selection of children and teenagers according to the indices of the development of psychomotor abilities. As a result of experimental researches peculiarities of ontogenetic development of psychomotor abilities to the space orientation, to the perception and differentiation of time and strength parameters of motion, the perception of rhythm of motion are found. Norms of assessment of the development of psychomotor abilities of children at the age of 7-14 years according to the 7, 9 and 12 points scale are determined. Associational correlation between indices of psychomotorics and hand dermatoglyphics in boy is studied. Dermatoglyphic markers of fingers and palms for the system of genetic prognosis are found. The degree of psychomotor abilities development in high class sportsmen of speed - strength kinds of sport and games and sportswomen going in for sports games are determined.
