The dissertation deals with the investigation of structural and dynamic I-concept development peculiarities of junior schoolchildren. Theoretical generalization and the new solution of the problem, which defines sensitive periods of junior schoolchildren's I-concept structural components according to the age peculiarities, and the elaboration of I-concept program development of junior schoolchildren, peculiarities of its realization have been carried out. The connection between the development level of new cognitive formations at junior school age, subjective character of teaching and peculiarities of junior schoolchildren's I-concept have been researched experimentally. Age peculiarities of structurally interrelated I-concept components such as: cognitive, emotional, behaviour and motivational ones have been investigated. The empirical data, which we received, gave us a possibility to build up a new formation model of junior schoolchildren, to work out and to fulfill junior schoolchildren's I-concept development program. In the course of program implementation we noticed such changes: schoolchildren's self-esteem and ambivalence grew, the fact proved the I-ideal formation and it was an important new formation of the age. The display of negative I-concept and anxiety lessened. The program influenced I-concept components, that were in sensitive development period corresponding to the children's age. The basic results are implementation in the educational process of the higher educational establishments and secondary schools.
