Essay

The thesis examines a number of interlaced issues, where the cooperation between Ukraine and the European Community in the field of maritime transport is determined as one of the basic preconditions of the general trade-economic cooperation development and gradual integration of Ukraine into the internal market of the European Community on the basis of goods transportation capacity growth, which in first place is provided by the relevant transport infrastructure. The thesis examines as well the issues of introduction to the Ukrainian maritime transport legislation such domains of EU law as “polluter pays principle” and exterritorial jurisdiction in the field of marine environment pollution prevention.
