The dissertation is devoted to research of an actual problem to pedagogical principles of cultural studies preparation of the future engineers by means of distance education. In the dissertation the content of education and the principles of preparation of specialists of technical type are improved by means of distance education. The crite-rions of efficiency of cultural studies preparation of the future specialists of technical type at distance form of education are defined. Multimedia educational-methodical complexes of cultural studies disciplines are developed and introduced. Efficiency of functioning of the system of distance education in higher technical educational establishment is experimentally tested at studying of cultural studies disciplines.
