Essay

Object - peculiarities of morphological structure, content and characteristics of turf- podsolic soils of light granular composition depending on their use. Purpose - study of morphological, physical, physical and chemical and chemical characteristics of turf-podsolic soils of light granular composition of Western Polissya of Ukraine, peculiarities of their genesis, agricultural use and drainage melioration. Methods - comparative and geographical, morphological and genetic (profile), comparative and analytic, variation statistics. Theoretical results - intensity and direction of transformation processes were determined for the first time in conditions of Western Polissya of Ukraine, basing on complex study of composition and characteristics of turf-podsolic soils of light granular composition depending on their use. It is proved that because if conservative behavior of turf-podsolic soils of light granular composition, under the intensive anthropogenic influence degradation processes take place, causing worsening of the soils characteristics and changing of the ways of their rational use and protection. Practical results - according to the complex of indicators, deterioration of the characteristics of turf-podsolic soils was found under anthropogenic pressure, especially in the topsoil, i.e. reduction of humus amount, worsening of general physical characteristics, change of relation C:N, composition of absorptive base, quantity of pH. Novelty - on the example of numerous variants and broad program of observation, conservative behavior of soils of light granular composition was proved, particularly small changes of morphological, physical, physical and chemical and other characteristics. Tendency of anthropogenic transformation of soils was determined, i.e. intensification of differentiation of profile according to morphological characteristics, granular composition, structure compactness and some physical and chemical indicators under the influence of agricultural use, in particular drainage. According to the results of gross chemical analysis of soils, content of constitutional water and molar coefficients of oxides correlation, activation of processes of internal soil weathering was defined as an important and to some extend new aspect of anthropogenic transformation of soils. Estimation of the impact of fallow and drainage melioration on changes of characteristics of turf-podsolic soils of light granular composition was made. Degree of application - results of the research are an important contribution into the development of theoretical and practical fundamentals of regional soil study. Materials of the research will be used in new-formed data base of monitoring; proposition to production in order to create optimal conditions for crops growing, preservation and increase of soil fertility, their protection from possible anthropogenic influences; for the purposes of forecasting of anthropogenic and post agrogenic evolution of soils; at educational process for study the courses of soil and agro ecological directions. The field is scientifically-educational and nature protective.
