Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of the process of formation the economic knowledge of the pupils in 9-10 classes. Methodical principles of forming the economic knowledge in general geographic education have been theoretically substantiated in the study; methodical system of the staged forming the economic knowledge of pupils in the process of teaching geography has been developed and tested experimentally. Structuring of economic knowledge of pupils in school courses of geography has been carried out in the research; the usage of expressions "social geography", "social-geographic expressions" have been suggested and substantiated. The valuation, gnoseological and oriented functions of economic knowledge and criteria for their selection for the perception and digestion by pupils in school courses of social geography have been substantiated. As a result of experimental research, the efficiency of introduction of the developed methods of staged forming the economic knowledge in process of teaching geography has been proved. The positive influence of the acquired economic knowledge on fundamental nature and integrity of social-geographic knowledge of pupils has been ascertained.
