Subject of research - a compensation for a non-pecuniary damages (hereinafter - CNPD) as provided by social environment means of weakening of negative feeling concerned with breach of a law of a person. Purpose of research - to discover a psychological substance of a phenomena of a non-pecuniary damages (hereinafter - NPD) and of the CNDP in rule-making and law-enforcement activities. Methods of research - dialectical, system, structure functional, analysis, synthesis, historical, questioning, semantic differential, classification, mathematical-statistical analysis. Scientific novelty - first disclosed a structure of a conceptions of the NPD' phenomena, of an offended party and of an offender on the mass consciousness level; described models of forming of the NPD feeling in a social interaction; classified types of behaviour for overcoming of the posttraumatic situation; systematized groups of the problems in decision making concerning CNPD by formalized social institutions. Practical importance - use of the research results increases the efficiency of processing of the cases of the CNPD judicially. Subject and degree of application - results of the research are applied to: a legal procedure of the CNPD by the courts and by the agents of a management; training course (discipline "The Juridical Psychology"). Efficiency of application - the acts of implementation testify to positive application assessment of the research results. Scope - the rule-making and law-enforcement activities concerning the CNPD.
