Essay

The object of research of the thesis is the technological process of manufacturing spatially modified coupling teeth. The aim of this work is to improve the quality and productivity of forming spatially modified coupling teeth on the basis of technological and structural improvements of their manufacturing through the development of a rational structure of process operations using the principle of progressive approximation of the process parameters to the principles of Olivier’s 2-nd method. In investigations the following research methods have been used: experimental and analytical simulation methods, the basic provisions of differential geometry, matrix calculus, the theory of surfaces, the theory of links, the theory of forming, based on the schemes of the second and third class forming, which is based on the theory of Olivier. These results have the following scientific novelty: 1. For the first time, new principles are designed for the synthesis of the technological process of manufacturing the spatially modified geometry of coupling teeth, based on the establishment of a rational structure of the technological process from conditions of successive fulfillment of the terms of Olivier’s 2-nd method. 2. The researches made have allowed developing a universal technological process structure that gives the possibility to synthesize particular variants of technological processes for manufacturing of spatially modified teeth for various work conditions of tooth couplings in the technological system. 3. A general method and algorithm for complex designing of technological process of manufacturing the spatial geometry of the coupling teeth, providing improved quality and productivity of the coupling teeth forming, as well as the linearity of tooth contact and load balancing in tooth action during the operation have been developed. 4. Main principles of the integration of the structure of technological process operations for machining of spatially modified coupling teeth have been developed. The practical significance of the results: 1.This work has allowed making a technological process of manufacturing a spatial modification of coupling teeth, which enables to manufacture gear couplings with a linear contact of working surfaces of teeth and even load distribution in the coupling action. 2. The results allowed developing recommendations on the synthesis of a rational structure of the technological process of manufacturing spatially-modified geometry of toothed couplings, depending on the particular operation of a toothed coupling in the technological system. 3. Specific options for technological support for implementing the developed structure of the technological process for manufacturing spatially- modified geometry of the coupling teeth are proposed. The proposed recommendations can improve the accuracy of tooth forming by 30-40% compared with the basic version and improve the output of their manufacturing by 40-50% (method of honing). 4. The work proposes new technical solutions as to the synthesis of technological support for manufacturing spatial geometry of teeth, for which patents of Tunis are granted. 5. The results of work have been applied in manufacturing of spatially modified toothed couplings in public corporation “Scientific and Research Institute “ISOTERM” (Russia), in Snezshnyansk machine works of public corporation “Motor –Sich” (Ukraine), Tunis repair works “Sotucoupe”, Tunis, in training process of Donetsk National Technical University (Ukraine) and Technological University Medges El Bab (Tunis).
