The thesis deals with the problem of forming readiness of future music teachers to instrumental-performing activity on the basis of integrative approach. The methodological principles of the instrumental-performing preparation process of a future music teacher have been highlighted, the retrospective analysis of the problem under investigation has been carried out and the structure of the instrumental-performing activity of a contemporary music teacher has been analyzed. It has been proved that the optimization of the instrumental-performing preparation of Art Department students at higher pedagogical institutions is possible on condition of the realization of the integrative approach. The necessity of using ballet (dance) music in the instrumental-performing preparation of Art Department students at higher pedagogical institutions has been determined. The organizational-pedagogical conditions of forming students' readiness to instrumental-performing activity on the basis of integrative approach have been analyzed and the criteria of forming the above mentioned readiness have been defined, the theoretic model of forming the instrumental-performing readiness of a future music teacher has been developed on the basis of integrative approach, the method of its stage-by-stage introduction has been created and experimentally tested.
