The dissertation is devoted to the study of the World Picture of the primary school age children who belong to different ethnic groups. The author theoretically grounds and practically distinguishes specific elements that are used by children of different ethnic groups to transfer the content of the World Picture. In the dissertation the degree of elaboration of the problem in philosophical, psychological, pedagogical and social scientific literature is presented. The key notions of the Picture of the World, above-personal-individual cognizing, symbol, Structure of the World are analyzed. The components of the World Picture that are also the parameters of the latter are stipulated. Substantial peculiarities of the World Picture of the primary school age children who belong to different ethnic groups are described in details. The program of the research includes complexes of famous psychological methods that can be directed to the diagnostics of the personal-individual child's peculiarities, cognitive sphere and also to the study of the World Picture of a child whose ethnic peculiarities are taken into consideration. The peculiarities of the content of the World Picture of the primary school age children who belong to different ethnic groups are brought to light as well as the means of the conceiving the World Picture are revealed. Gender peculiarities of transferring the World Picture are also defined. The data that has been obtained in the result of the research can be reasonably used in the process of working out the psychological programs where the ethnic peculiarities are emphasized and correcting programs for working with the primary school age children who belongs to different cultures.
