Komar O. Ethnocultural paradigmatics of nationally-marked language elements

The paper provides a complex research of ethnocultural specific character of nationally-marked language elements. The subject of the research is mechanisms of stereotypization of ethnocultural senses of Ukrainian nationally-marked language elements among which nationally-marked lexical and formula units, idioms and proverbs are indicated. The basis of the analysis of factual material is frequency of use, typical nature and ethnocultural significance of nationally-marked language elements in dictionaries and ethnographic sources, folklore, literature and live communication. Philosophical concept of the research was created on basis of ethnocentric comprehension of language elements. The peculiarities of correlation between language and mind, language and thinking, language and culture were defined. There were analyzed contemporary studies of the problem of language picture of the world and peculiarities of its reflection in a person's mind. The experimental research of typical associative reactions on nationally-marked language elements was carried out. Certain fragments of language picture of the world such as reflected in names of trees, nature phenomena, traditional names, formula units, idioms and proverbs were analyzed.
