Essay

The thesis presents complex analysis of the non-state actors' influence on the German foreign policy, both in terms of participating in decision making process and their activity in the international scene independently of the German state. The German foreign policy is considered as a system, where different actors are connected by established ties influenced by factors of domestic and international environment. In this thesis the researcher classified the non-state actors into two groups - business companies and social-political entities. Mechanisms used by non-state actors for strengthening their influence on the main players of the official German foreign policy are also described. In the first phase, it refers to the German government with the Chancellor at its head, then the governmental departments and finally German parliamentarians. The interaction of the non-state actors with the state institutions is manifested in the official German foreign policy.
