The object of the rescarch. Arterial hypertension and its propxilaxis in rural population. The objective of the research. To develop a model of preventing arterial hypertension in rural population. Methods of the research. Medico - statistical, sociological, analytical, epidemiological, modeling, bibliosementical. Theoretical and practical results. Theoretical and proectical results. These lie in the fact that the introduction of an ehaborated modul of preventing arterial hypertension will contribute to an improvement of rural population's health. As a result of the research methodological recommendations havy been published: "Methoas, means and content of popularing healthy life style for the purpose of preventing of arterial hypertension" (Kyiv - Chernivtsi, 2003), "Prophylaxis of arterial hypertension in residents of the country-side" (Chernivtsi, 2004). One information letter ("Methodology of prognosticating the onset of complications from arterial hypertension in patients of rural locality" (Kyiv Ukrmedpatentinform of Ukraine's MHP, 2005)) and one declaration patent has been received ("A metod of prognosticating complications from arterial hypertension of patient of rural locality" (№1483; an application for a patent 16.01.2006; published 15.05.2006, buletion №5)). Besides, the results of the research are usedin the teaching process of the Dipartment of social medicine and organization of health protection, of Bukovinian State Medical University; the Deportment of Social Medicine, Organization and Economics of Social Medicine of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medikal Universsity. A direct link has been established between AH incidence rate and rural population et has been corroborated that adult population's mortality rate from myocardial infarction, cerefral stroke correlates directly with the incidence rate of DCS , in particular AH and their prevalence. The level of knowledge of rural doctors as to the prevention of AH has been established, although they acknowledged the mselves to be not quite sufficiently prepared in this sphere, having a low level of knowledge in this problem. It has been estoblished by the majority of the village inhabitants that the basis of preventing of AH is only control of arterial pressure meosurements and not a complex of preventive mesves it has been proved that the onset of AH complicotirable prognosis. A model of preventive technologies and their use to diminish the levels of AH knorbidity in rural in halsent has been elaborated. It insures a step-by-step and succession of measuris in relation to preventing AH at all levels of rendering medical aid as well as control of the quality of its performance. The basic elements of the model have been defined to be formation of HLS interrelations of a patient and a doctor as well as forming a better attitude his wen health.
