Saenko L. Publishing Activity of Ukrainian Diaspora in Australia (1948-2008)

The subject of research is the publishing activity of Ukrainian Diaspora in Australia in 1948-2008; the aim of research is the history of publishing and repertoire of Ukrainian educational institutions, research and public communities of Ukrainian immigration in Australia during 1948-2008; methods used - historical and comparative, problematic and subjective, chronological, quatitative; as well as the methods of historiographical, chronological, bibliographic and bibliologic analysis of publishing activity; the originality is that for the first time the reconstruction of publishing activities and repertoire of australian Ukrainians has been conducted within a period of second half of 20th century till the beginning of 21st century; the results - main grounds, the conclusions of research, factual material were used for preparing research papers on history of publishing activity, history of Ukrainian Diaspora, tutorial handbooks, and a special course "Ukrainian Diaspora" has been developed for Odesa National Mechnikov University, Odesa South Ukrainian National Pedagogical Ushinsky University, the factual material is being used for compiling articles for "Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine" by Institute of Encyclopedic Research of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
