The dissertation is devoted to the identification of the main system-forming elements, which in the relationship and mutual influence form the innovative media space of the modern library and to justify the conceptual model of the innovative media space of the library based on them.
The innovative media space of a modern library is a collection of technical and technological and software tools of library activity, formed in the process of digital transformations of the library, aimed at meeting the informational and social-communicative needs of citizens, determined by their professional and public activities, education, leisure, daily life, tasks of personal growth and communication.
Socio-communicative practices of libraries in the conditions of digitalization are conscious and expedient activities aimed at satisfying the informational, socio-cultural needs of citizens, their social interests, which leads to the improvement of the socio-cultural living conditions of citizens in the conditions of digital transformations of society.
The content of social and communicative practices of libraries using digital technologies is in line with innovative information, educational and leisure services, characterized by a variety of forms and methods of activity and the relevant use of digital technologies for its implementation.
A necessary condition for the formation of librarians' readiness to carry out transformations is professional communication and the presentation and dissemination of best practices of innovative activity.
Generalization and dissemination of innovative experience of library activity is carried out both through formal communications (publications, information and resource support), and informal professional communications. These professional communication processes complement each other.
The formation of the library's innovative media space requires the relevant competencies of a library specialist, which is a complex phenomenon that is not limited to the acquisition of elementary digital literacy skills and requires a systematic approach.
The professionalism of a modern librarian is a necessary component of the effective innovative development of libraries. Forms and means of professional development and self-education of modern librarians have been identified. For the curriculum of training students in the specialty «Information, library and archival affairs», the working program of the educational discipline «Innovative media space of the modern library» is proposed.
The set of properties and aspects of the functioning of the innovative media space of the modern library, internally connected, which in their unity and interconnection form its conceptual (structural-functional) model, is recorded.
The conceptual model of the innovative media space of libraries is based on the following provisions:
– the theoretical and methodological foundations of the development of the formation of the innovative media space of libraries are based on the following concepts in their relationship and mutual influence: digital technologies as the basis of the formation of the media space of the library, the task of social and communicative activity of the library in the digital media space and the competence of the library specialist;
– the evolution of the functioning of the innovative media space of the library should take place in accordance with the general processes of digitalization of society, the development of the theory and practice of librarianship and librarianship, and be actualized in IT projects for the introduction of digital technologies in libraries and the acquisition by library specialists of the necessary competencies for their use.
