Dmytruk I. Hutsulshchyna in the Ethnographic Research in the End of the 19th – the Beginning of the 21st Century.

The thesis is dedicated to the transformation of ethnicity concepts. It is analyzed transformation of the basic concepts of ethnicity in the period of the end ХІХ – beginnings ХХІth century. The problem of ethnicity in a historical retrospective has been shown. It is classified that in modern researches were three basic approaches interpretation of ethnicity.The essential attention is given to the analysis of main components and categories of ethnicity. It is specified importance of concept research «ethnic group» as a general component of ethnicity in modern concepts. Ethnicity it is expressed through identity that in certain degree traces process of identification and self-identification of the person within the limits of an ethnic group that has paid attention of the researcher to works out of Ukrainian and foreign ethnopsychologists.On the basis of scientific literature analysis is cleared up the features of formation of the Ukrainian national character. It is substantiated, that national character of the Ukrainian ethnos is shown in spiritual culture.
