Svida T. International and Legal Cooperation of the States within the Framework of the European Commission "For Democracy through Law".

The thesis is devoted to the complex research of the organizational and legal bases, ways of the interstate cooperation in the European Commission "For Democracy through Law" and the determination of the international-legal nature of its Acts. The author investigates the process of the creation of the modern integrated interstate Associations for the protection of the common political and legal values within the common legal space, particularly democracy, by the international-legal means. Being considered by the European Council as one of the political and legal values, democracy became the major precondition for the development of the European cooperation in strengthening of the democracy in its all-European meaning and caused the creation of the European Commission "For Democracy through Law". The structure of the European Commission "For Democracy through Law", its functions, legal nature and importance of its Acts are investigated. The basic directions of the activity of the European Commission "For Democracy through Law" and the cooperation of Ukraine with this organization are also examined
