Pomyrcha S. expression of ethnopsychic archetypes in the novel "No waste of Cossack stock…" by O. Ilchenko

Object is verbal expression of ethnopsychic archetype as display of Ukrainians' ethnic character; aim is to investigate different ways and forms of verbalization Ukrainians' ethnopsychic archetype in novel "No waste of Cossack stock…" (2785 cards); methods are observation, induction, analysis, synthesis and modeling; linguistic methods are structural, which is displayed in methods of distributional and semno-component analysis; descriptive with application of external interpretation; textual and also taxonomic and systematic methods; novelty consists of analysis of language of impressive Ukrainian prose work (middle of XX c.). It was analysed for the first time from the point of view of reflection in it main psychomental and ethno-cultural peculiarities and values of Ukrainians. Lexical means of representation Ukrainians originality were revealed and described in the novel, linguistic interpretation of nonverbal means of expression of heroes'condition is represented here; results are based on the ground of described idiostylistik text organization peculiarities of the novel "No waste of Cossack stock…" by O. Ilchenko; On the ground of the described idiostylistic text organization peculiarities of the novel "No waste of Cossack stock…" by O. Ilchenko was determinated the following ethnopsychic archetypes: "Liberty", "Faith", "Heart", "Cossack", "Mother", "Girl". Was emphasized the peculiar structure of the novel by O Ilchenko: linguistic image of the author - a person of the XX century, linguistic image of the narrator - a contemporary of the events and linguistic image of the character. Described means of language (epithets, comparisons, symbols, synonyms, idioms) used for the ethnopsychic archetypes realization: by means of verbalization of Ukrainians' typical ethnic features and revealing of these features in the characters' portraits; ethno-cultural element is represented in masculine and feminine images; field of investigation is linguistics
