The thesis presents a theoretical and experimental investigation of the problem of forming future teacher readiness for the innovative teaching activity by means of simulation. The dissertation specifies the following notions: "innovative teaching activity", "innovation", "readiness for innovative teaching activity", "simulation". Pedagogical possibilities of simulation have been defined. The model and pedagogical conditions of simulation application while developing future teacher innovative competence are theoretically grounded, experimentally tested and proved.
