The thesis is devoted to the study of the issues of international legal protection and regulation of sustainable development in Alpine and Carpathian mountain regions. Identification of state relations in the sphere of protection and sustainable development of mountain regions as a separate object of international legal regulation is substantiated. The natural and socio-economic factors determining peculiarities of such regulation are considered. The fundamental approaches and principles of international legal protection and regulation of sustainable development of mountain regions are examined and the spheres of such activities are classified.
