Voloshko J. International Regulation of Direct Television Broadcasting.

This thesis provides a summary regarding effectiveness of the international legal mechanism pertaining to direct television broadcasting (the "DTB") regulation. The author describes DTB's legal pattern development, and identifies key factors for DTB actual issues at current historical stage. Also, the author provides an analysis of general theory issues and their distinctive features of international and regional mechanisms pertaining to global legal DTB regulation. Moreover, the author proposes her own definition of DTB and generalized classification of basic international legal issues of its utilization, in particular, under privatization and commercialization of telecommunication activities. It has been defined the efficient vectors for DTB legal regulators' improvement at the international and regional scale. Special attention is given to the formation of the Ukrainian legal position in telecommunication sphere within the framework for Unified national telecommunication systems' development.
