The dissertation focuses on the problem of teaching future philologists interactional speech with the help of video. The methodology has been theoretically substantiated. The linguistic, didactic and methodological bases of teaching interactional speech were taken into consideration. The components of interactional speech were determined. Criteria for selecting authentic feature films were specified. As a result of the research, a system of exercises teaching future philologists interactional speech with the help of authentic video films has been worked out. Six stages of teaching were offered. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology was verified and confirmed during experimental teaching. Methodological recommendations concerning teaching future philologists interactional speech with the help of authentic video films have been developed.
