Subject of research - details of common chicory cell line selection resistant to chloride, sulphite salinization and barium ion action. The aim - the parent material development resistant to abiotic environmental factors by methods of cell breeding on the basis of somaclonal variation. The methods are bitechnological, phisiological, cytological, agroecological, field, statistical. The technology of development of common chicory parent material resistant to chloride, sulphate salinization and barium ion action is worked out with the use of a biotechnological link in the breeding process. The new parent material of common chicory is obtained with complex resistance to abiotic environmental factors and high productivity indices. The introduction - the developed parental breeding material is used in the investigations of the Uman State University, Institute of Root Crops of the UAAS, Mazlumov All-Russian Institute of Sugar Beet and Sugar of the RAAS. Field of application - the breeding research institutions, agricultural production.
