Shunevich O. Formation of senior pupils' ability to summarize educational texts at native language lessons

Psychological, linguistic and methodical bases of formation of senior pupils' ability to summarize educational texts at the lessons of Ukrainian are presented in the works; methodical ways and means of their realization are defined; content, methods, ways, forms of educational activity directed on formation at senior pupils' ability to summarize educational texts are developed , scientifically based and experimentally checked up; the notion "summarizing" (textual, free, thematic, structural) are specified; criteria of assessment of summarizing as a kind of work are based and improved; requirements of teachers of languages and teachers of other school subjects to drawing up summarizing are coordinated. The results of research give the grounds to consider offered experimental methodology as effective means of formation at senior pupils' ability to summarize educational texts at the lessons of Ukrainian.
