Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the complex investigation of life and scientific activity of a prominent scientist in the sphere of agrarian engineering science - L.V. Pogorilyy (1934-2003). Conditions of scientific outlook formation and scientist's individuality becoming as well as his scientific, testing, organizational, pedagogic and public activity is revealed in this work. Main directions of scientific investigations of L. Pogorilyy are found out. Academician's contribution into agricultural machinery testing in Ukraine is enlightened. Periodization of life and creative activity of Academician is made for deepening of historic and analytical research. The investigation of the history of formation and agricultural machinery testing in Ukraine and its periodization is developed.
