Mauwafak Z. Features of use of international-legal sanctions to Iraq

Thesis is devoted to research of features of use of international-legal sanctions to offender state on Iraq's example. Legal nature of the institute of international-legal sanctions is exposed and the specific nature of their use in the frameworks of the United Nations also the problem of realization of international-legal liability in the UN sanctions are investigated. In thesis the legal grounds and list of economic sanctions, which were used against Iraq are analyzed and international-legal aspects of forced armed measures and sanctions regime in 1991-2003 are investigated. It is set that consequences of more then ten years sanctions regime were absolutely opposing that their aims and their social-economic results were terrible for the people of Iraq.
