Essay

Work consists of entry, three sections, general conclusions, list of the utilised sources and appendixes. In the advanced study it is complex research is a study life and scientific activity of domestic scientist of S. P. Suromyatnikov (1891-1951) in area of constructions of locomotives. He is inlaid are a considerable contribution to development of railway transport. Founding on systematizations of different pre-product, Soviet period, comparing this process to the foreign country. Scientific and pedagogical achievement of S. P. Suromyatnikov became the background of development of ideas and new prospects for further technical researches. Contribution of S. P. Suromyatnikov to development of constructions of locomotives, his activity in perfection locomotive, creation of thermal process of locomotive is a valuable source for continuation of researches in area of development of railway science.
