Gordiuk N. The European Union Policy towards the Russian Federation.

TThe problem of EU policymaking towards the Russian Federation is analyzed. Conceptual framework, content and forms of the EU foreign policy towards Russia under the conditions of strengthening the European integration were researched. Special attention is devoted to studying of EU-RF interrelations in different spheres in the context of the EU Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Energy interdependence, influence of the USA's factor and strengthening the EU role in the post-Soviet space. Author's vision of periodization, peculiarities and dynamics of the EU-Russia relations as power centres was determined. The EU-Russia relations in the energy sphere as well as Ukraine's role in security of the energy supply to Europe were studied. It was found out that security of the energy supply became a political issue in the relations between the EU and the Russian Federation.
