Kozhedub L. Formation of German-Language Competence in Reading on the Basis of Interpretation of Fiction Literature in Future Philologists.

The Thesis deals with a problem of formation of German-language competence in reading on the basis of interpretation of fiction literature in future philologists. In this work a methodology of formation of competence in reading of German-language texts in students of language higher educational institutions has been theoretically based and practically worked out. This scientific research presents the specifics of work with fiction literature on the basis of interpretation of language and stylistic means of fiction literature in the process of teaching reading to students of senior level of language higher educational institutions and mastering skills which are necessary for reading fiction literature of different genres; defines the principles of choosing texts for teaching reading; analyses a text on example of which we carry out our research from the point of view of aesthetic, social, cultural and linguistic potential as well as from the point of view of difficulty; defines the principles of organization of work with literature on the basis of interpretation of language and stylistic means of fiction literature in the process of teaching reading to students of language higher educational institutions; compiles a complex of exercises for formation of competence in reading in students-philologists of senior lever of studies on the basis of interpretation of language and stylistic means of fiction literature. Effectiveness of the offered methodology is checked and proved in the process of experimental check.
