Slatvytska A. The International Protection of Women’s Rights.

The thesis is about the evolution of the women’s rights in the philosophy and legal systems of different countries and civilizations, the legal nature and the sense of women’s rights, the conditions of women’s economic rights realization and the reasons for their violation. The author examined the specific features of the international mechanisms aimed at women’s economic rights protection within the framework of the UN system, the European Union and the Council of Europe. More particularly, the author examined such questions as: how to guarantee the legal basis for this mechanisms; the activity of international organizations and their bodies in terms of protecting women’s economic rights; practical implementation of international documents; peculiarities of international supervisory procedures and dispute settlement in this field.
