The dissertation deals with the studying of personal reflection in cognitive activity of teenagers at the lessons of Ukrainian and Foreign literature. In the dissertation the conceptual model of the development of personal reflection of teenagers was created. This model contains five basic mechanisms: 1) self-organization; 2) self-mobilization; 3) transference; 4) cultural-ethnic identification; 5) transcendent foresight. The system of the teacher's psychological and pedagogical influences on pupils with the purpose of the development of their personal reflection in the process of cognitive activity was determined. This system is based on active methods of studying, including discussions, creative tasks at the lessons of Ukrainian and foreign literature and psychological training. Psychological and pedagogical facilities of the development of cognitive activity of teenagers were selected: making the situations, when a pupil has to prove the thought, setting questions to other pupils, writing the resumes, creative researches, helping to class-mates if they need it, doing so called "tasks +", studying the additional literature, taking part in talks, discussions, designing the situations for self-control, doing self-analysis of knowledge, making self-correction and others. It was proved that the process of the development of personal reflection is determined by cognitive activity of the pupil by dialogical filling of motivate, content, operating sides of cognitive activity.
