The dissertation focuses on the diagnostic and correctional potentialities of psychoanalytical interpretation. Investigated were the peculiarities and forms of interpretation from the perspective of psychodynamic theory based on the understanding of the integrity of psychic in its conscious and unconscious spheres; the impact of interpretation on the efficacy of the subject's psycho-correction analyzed. Has been established that interpretation, which is made in psychodynamic approach, contributes to systematization and generalization of empiric material with revealing of invariable and reiterating characteristics of behaviour. That makes possible objectivizing of unique semantics of its deep determination and due to widening of the subject's selfconscious ness promotes deeping of self reflection and developing of social-perceptive intellect. The evidence was obtained that an adequate and diagnostically relevant interpretation by a professionally skilled psychologist correlates with effective psycho-correction. The need was justified for psychology students to undergo the course of in-depth psycho-correction with the use of the ASPT technique, as an important pre-requisite for mastering interpretation skills.
