Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to botanical section's of Agricultural scientific committee of Ukraine (1918 - 1927 ) investigation. The process of formation and functioning of Botanical section has been investigated by author, periods and action's lines were marked. Was analyzed the scientific foundation of it's founder and constant head - professor O. Yanata, whose scientific creativity matched immature needs of agricultural botany and to research work and was directed to the main social and scientific assignments solutions. Educational and promotional practice of Section through mass events and creation of scientific industry organizations was considered. Scientific heritage of BS ASNC of Ukraine is a valuable source of ideas and thoughts, which concern agricultural researches in general and agricultural botany in particular.
