Essay

The study analyses definitions of peace in international relations, suggests their typologizations and outlines the conceptual approaches to comprehension of peace as a phenomenon; accentuates that the notion of peace should be researched not only through the situation of absence of threats to peace such as war, conflict, violence, aggression, hostility and tension, but also through the notions of justice, welfare, nonviolence politics, culture of peace, that makes it possible to substantiate multiformity of phenomenon of peace and, correspondingly, indispensability of complex analysis of peace.
