Essay

The problems of postmodern communication processes have been analyzed in the thesis. Postmodernity has been taken up as a culture state in Europe, America and some Eastern countries that has been formed due to specific communicative processes. In the context of the investigation the main features of postmodern culture have been identified and described. The main points of culture study in postmodernism project have been analyzed in the paper. As an example the Lyotard's concept describing the postmodern turn of reflection to the problems of language and communication has been taken. Also the concepts of "playing structure", "games of truth", "play and writing" have been examined to discover the place of the game in postmodernism. It has been substantiated that the game in the postmodernism used to be both an important tool for philosophical reflection and the object of study. The theoretical and methodological foundation for the study of postmodern communications has been determined. The theories of communicative rationality and communicative action have been analyzed. We select the most significant features of the age of postmodernism and the factors responsible for them have been examined. The specific features of the communication processes in postmodern culture have been observed on the examples of different types performance, art and virtual communications. The attributive nature of game properties of postmodern communications and the features of the game as a component of modern communication processes have been proved. Media Relations and their private manifestations, such as television and television advertising have been taken as an example of gaming properties in postmodern communications. On the basis of the collected materials it has been concluded that the transformation of modern media culture is a determining factor for the development of postmodern communication.
