The theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomenon of the church music in the culture of the Ukraine of the second half of the ХVІІ - ХVІІІth century is considered, the features of the partes church music as the kind of the baroque art are revealed in the dissertation. It is underlined, that in difference of the Old Russian church monoaction, the partes music is full by dynamics and contrasts that collected the powerful influence on the emotional sphere of the listeners. The attributive specificity of the orthodox church music of the specified historical period (M. Berezovsky, D. Bortnjansky, A. Vedelj's opus) is defined; the tendencies of the development of the new classical style in the Ukrainian church music of the second half of the ХVІІІth century are outlined. It is affirmed, that the Ukrainian church music did not concede to the spiritual concerts of the outstanding West European composers.
