Subject of research - elements of technological process and teeth formation process of liners in gear-type couplings with dimensioned geometry. Target of research - increase of maintenance parameters of gear-type couplings by creating special engineering support to realize teeth formation process providing linear contact and uniform load distribution in the coupling under conditions of rolls' assembly inaccuracies changing in fixed limits. Methods - theoretical (the studies were based on key regulations of machine-building technology, device and machine theory; in order to resolve trigonometric equations connecting point coordinates on lateral teeth side, we used successive approximation method; equations for tool's profile line and section and tool movement patterns are defined by least squares method) and experimental (researches on defining teeth thickness change are based on measuring photography methods, the results of experimental researches were treated according to probability theory and mathematical statistics) research methods. Theoretic results: we received relations defining interrelations of kinematics of tool's and section's relative movements, structure of teeth dimensioned geometry and tool's geometry to realize formation process of teeth with dimensioned structure when having preliminary or final treatment of gear rims. Practical results - increase of compensating capability up to 1,3 degrees, decease of bending and contact stress due to realized formation process of teeth with dimensioned geometry providing linear contact and uniform load distribution in the coupling. Newness is in developing formation process of liner's teeth with dimensioned geometry, including usage of existing teeth and coupling treatment equipment on the basis capable to compensate rolls' assembly inaccuracies changing in fixed limits, when keeping linear contact and uniform load distribution.
