Essay

The dissertation deals with theoretical generalization and experimental solving of the problem of senior pupils' professional intentions development in the frame of profile education. The theoretical model of intention is developed, the following issues are defined: notion of professional intention as a type of personality's intentions, its structure depending on the emotion-willed, cognitive-motivational, action-practical components; stages of forming of senior pupils' professional intentions in the course of professional self-determination; indicators of levels (high, middle, low) of pupils' professional intention formed. On results of the stating experiment it was defined that features of professional intentions are connected with age, gender and region of residence; the studying major doesn't always coincide with the professional choice of pupils. Experimentally it was proved that the state of career guidance activities at school influences the forming of senior pupils' professional intentions. That is why specially organized career guidance training granted it is possible to ensure the increase of level of their forming, that creates more favorable situation for professional self-determination.
