In the dissertation the development of the Ukrainian dramatic art of the Crimea in the second half of the ХХth century is analysed. A determining role in this direction of the Crimean Ukrainian Musical Theater, Russian Drama Theatres of Simferopol and Sevastopol, amateur troupes of the region, the Crimean brunch of the Ukrainian theatre society, the Crimean Regional Folk House is described. The repertoire of professional and folk theaters, amateur drama troupes of the region during the 1940th-1990th is analysed, a place of the plays on works of the Ukrainian authors is identified. It is certain that the Ukrainian dramatic art on the Crimean stage in the period under review developed enough actively, though it had got the certain specific conditioned by the sociocultural features of the region. However, first of all, a stimulus for its distribution was spiritual requirements of viewing audience and initiative of certain art workers. The local authority of culture management, methodological centers and creative unions did not pursue a successive policy in this direction and in a soviet period they quite often were used for the ideological control and Russification.
