Pysmennyi O. Anti-deflation stability of soils in Steppe of Ukraine

Object - processes and regularities forming the anti-deflation stability of soils in the Steppe of Ukraine. Purpose - study direct (indices of anti-deflation stability) and indirect (crumbles, mechanical durability and others) basic indices of real anti-deflation stability of soils in the Steppe of Ukraine in modern condition. Methods - laboratory, mathematically-statistical, calculation-comparative. Theoretical results - the connection between the soils parameters and the indices of anti-deflation stability have been grounded and the quantity significance indices of anti-deflation stability have been obtained. The influence of irrigation and erosion degree on the anti-deflation indices has been established. The soils have been classified by the indices of anti-deflation stability. Practical results - the research done in conditions of the Steppe of Ukraine allow to estimate the influence of basic property of soils on the process of soils deflation. The defined regularities of the condition of anti-deflation parameters of the upper sphere of the basic types of soils the most danger our period for the region make it possible to prognosis the potential losses of soil and develop the soil protection system. Patent on the useful model "The way of estimation of anti-deflation stability of soils" № 29131 has been received on 10 January 2008. Novelty - the quantity indices of anti-deflation stability of basic types of soils in the Steppe of Ukraine have been determined; the influence of erosion and irrigation on the anti-deflation stability of basic types of soils in the Steppe of Ukraine has been established; the basic types of soils in the Steppe of Ukraine have been classified by the indices of anti-deflation stability. Degree of application - the results of research are recommended for application at scientific-research and design institutes of land use. The field is scientific-educational and nature protection.
