Essay

The thesis deals with theoretical grounds of the problem of spiritual personal crises in early juvenility. The psychological content of the phenomenon of spiritual personal crisis is determined. The approaches to the problem mentioned, as well as the means of spiritual crises psychological prevention and psychological support for the youth experiencing spiritual personal crises are analysed and discussed. The spiritual personal crisis is identified as a sub-variety of internal personal conflict between spiritual and social selves of the person. It is determined by the contradiction between the high level of spiritual potential and the impossibility of its realisation in the society. It may have both constructive and destructive recoveries. The constructive recovery from spiritual personal crisis consists in the aspiration for self-discovery, self-reflection and refusal from obsolete forms of activity and behaviour. In this case the person switches to the upper level of spiritual growth. The destructive recovery from the crisis is connected with the regress in spiritual personal development, rejection from spiritual senses and values.
