Object - speech activity of six-year-old children who demonstrate general speech underdevelopment. Aim - theoretically ground and experimentally test the organizing and didactic model of speech development of the six-year-old children with general speech underdevelopment (III level) in the process of familiarizing with nature. Methods - theoretical, empirical, statistic. Theoretical results and novelty - at the first time the pedagogical conditions of speech development of the six-year-old children with general speech underdevelopment (III level) in the process of familiarizing with nature were revealed and scientifically grounded; the organizing and didactic model of speech development of the six-year-old children with general speech underdevelopment (III level) in the process of familiarizing with nature and the levels of its realization were developed. The criteria, levels and indicators of speech competence of the six-year-old children with general speech underdevelopment (III level) were determined. The theory and methodics of correction work on spech development of children who demonstrate general speech underdevelopment gained further development. Practical results - the program 'Familiarizing with nature of Crimia and speech development' was developed. Efficiency of introduction - high. Branch - pedagogical, pre-school educational establishments, primary schools and high pedagogical educational establishments.
