The thesis considers the problems of theoretical and experimental substantiation of control and assessment methods of female handball players' tactic thinking with the aim of practical application as a selection criterion on the stages of lasting sport training and in the teams with various skill level, for definite game role, as well as for prediction and improvement of competitive activity. The science-methods literature analysis and practical experience generalization show the development of new approaches to the system of sportsmen training in the conditions of Olympic sport modern development. In the researches the special attention is paid to psycho-physiological features, and fast attention of game situations and their efficient solving, i.e. abilities to tactic thinking, in the sport games. The data about availability of methods for tactic thinking control and assessment in the sport practice were found in the form of testing in the control exercises and pedagogical observation for game action variability; though card and computer methods on the base of word-number algorithm are widely used for science purposes. In spite of the fact that some of them were created using the latest technologies, we consider them to be adequate to the female handball players' activity insufficiently since they don't involve game situations. Therefore the problem of handball players' tactic thinking as a constituent of tactic training is topical; and its solution is based on rather objective, reliable and informative methods.
