The dissertation is devoted to the timely issue of forming professional interests of future social pedagogues in extracurricular work of pedagogical university. Concepts "interest", "professional interest", "professionally pedagogical interest" are defined in the work. On the basis of modern state documents, views of scientists, generalization of pedagogical experience we have come to the conclusion, that "professional interests of social pedagogue" - are his positively emotional orientation on the integrated total combination of professional types of socially-pedagogical activity: its objects, contents and technology, theoretically methodical and practical aspects for which close co-operation of motivationally, intellectually cognitive and actively persistent spheres of personality are distinctive. Criteria and levels of formation of professional interest as well methods of determination of formation of professional interest are worked out. Factors, influencing the quality of forming of students' professional interests are determined. Pedagogical conditions of forming professional interests of future social pedagogues are defined. The study paid great attention to developing a model of professional interests of future social workers as a necessary foundation of the educational process. Found that the formation of professional orientation is most successful when provided with such conditions: a focused, integrated approach to the formation of different types of occupational interests of future social workers with clearly defined objects for its implementation in extracurricular work, providing leadership graduate departments and the active participation of the academic mentor groups ; consistency, continuity in the achievement of certain tasks, adherence to the formation of the professional interests of diagnostic and guiding, procedurally, the assembly, effectively and monitoring stages, accounting specialization of future social workers, justified the selection of appropriate scope and content of extracurricular activities, a variety of forms, methods and means of forming professional interests with the use of special effects techniques on the emotional sphere of future social workers, integration of theoretical and practical training of students with active involvement of a self-socio-educational activities.
