Tymoshyk H. Biblical anthroponyms in the Modern Day Ukrainian Translation of the Holy Scripture.

Peculiarities of rendering the stock of anthroponyms in modern Ukrainian translations of the Holy Scriptures are considered in the thesis. Introduction of Biblical anthroponyms into the new lingual surroundings envisages involvement of numerous transition and adjustment mechanisms which accompany the process of translation and determine the specificity of the translation manner. The thesis clarifies the peculiarities of phonographic reproduction of the anthroponyms of the New Testament in the cource of translations, the specificity of reproduction of the accentuation code of Biblical anthroponyms and mechanisms of their morphological adjustment are disclosed.
