Sosis L. Characteristics of comprehension one's personal experience by women in need of psychological aid.

The dissertation carries out an integrated research of specific features of women's comprehending of their personal experience and the influence over its subjective interpretation that personality psychological traits in combination and interrelation with various life contexts and dominating cultural narratives exert. The research presents the main results of empiric investigation of personality and situational factors which determine women's problems appearing in such life spheres as private life, interpersonal relations and self-realization. The results of the experimental investigation manifest that internalized social and gender statements combined with women's personality psychological features form the problem-saturated narrative that has a negative influence on an individual's self-appraisal, activity, attitude towards her own experience, relations with the others; restrains the possibilities of the internal resource search, leads to non-realistic life expectations and incites to anticipate and predict a problem future. The research presents the application results of the author's training devoted to women's personal experience perceiving and re-interpretation on the narrative psychotechnologies basis. It is proved that the use of narrative techniques in the process of perceiving of one's personal experience by women in need of psychological aid gives scope for personality growth, contributes to forming of a more positive woman's identity that is based on personal values and ethical principals and to women's acquiring the expert position in their own lives.
