Rakhno K. The Pottery Craft in the Traditional Culture of the Slavonic Nations

Object: pottery handicraft of Slavonic ethnoses. Purpose: determination of role and place of mythic-sacral aspects of ceramics in the traditional spiritual culture of Slavs. Methods: comparative-historical, structural-functional, semantic-paleontological. Results: first ceramics are examined on general Slavonic material as the phenomenon of spiritual culture, on the basis of analysis of rite, ordinariness and world view presentations, related to the pottery production, the world designings possibilities of the phenomenon of ceramics are showed, the reconstruction of separate sides of its mythological comprehension is offered, including in the Baltic-Slavonic and Indo-European prospects. Sphere of the use: during development of lecture courses and researches on pottery craft, folklore science, ethnology, cultural anthropology, and also during creation of summarizings works from the Ukrainian, general Slavonic and world ethnology, thematically related to the ceramics as part of traditional culture of Slavs.
