Essay

The thesis is dedicated to research of the history of formation and development of the Holy See's legal status in the international law in the period prior to conclusion of Lateran Accords of 1929. Special attention is paid to the comprehensive research of the present-day legal status of the Holy See in the international law and forms of implementation of its international legal personality reflected in such aspects as active and passive right of legation, the right to conclude international treaties, participation in the activities of international organizations and international conferences, participation in peaceful settlement of international disputes.
