Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of English professional discussion teaching of engineering students. A method of English professional discussion teaching of engineering students has been theoretically substantiated and practically devised and experimentally proved. Modern approaches to professional spoken interaction teaching of engineering students and linguistic characteristics of English professional discussion of engineering students have been analyzed. The functional type of dialogue that can be used as basis for professional spoken interaction teaching of engineering students on the fourth course has been defined. Selection criteria and method of learning material for English professional discussion teaching have been defined and stages of English professional discussion teaching of engineering students have been analyzed. Three complexes of exercises were developed for professional discussion teaching. A learning model and methodological recommendations for foreign language for specific purposes teachers as for methodology introduction have been developed.
