Analysis of organization and economic mechanisms for adaptation of foreign trade of the Central and Eastern European countries to the requirements of common trade policy of the EU is carried out. Basic principles of formation of modern foreign trade policy of Ukraine and strategic directions of its improvement taking into account experience of the Central and Eastern European countries are determined.On the grounds of regressive analysis of foreign trade of the Central and Eastern European countries influence of basic indices of foreign trade on the national gross domestic product of the given countries after joining the EU as well as potential level of mutual trade of the Central and Eastern European countries with Ukraine is determined.
